Xand's Westchester Data Center, located 30 miles north of New York City, is a custom built state-of-the-art facility with the latest in redundant power, environmental control and networking technology. The facility's design provides for the ideal environment for assuring the performance and reliability of the most mission critical business applications. Because Xand is devoted to the needs of businesses, it is imperative that our network is up and running at all times. We know that our customers must answer to their own customers and partners; therefore, failure is not an option.

Network
Xand provides flexible, on-demand access via redundant and diverse fiber entrances. Edge access routers connect the Data Center to multiple IP backbone nodes via multiple OC-48, OC-12 and OC-3 connections.

Back-end connectivity and network options available include T1, T3, OC3 and Gigabit Ethernet MAN services.

Upstream bandwidth is provided by multiple, scalable and redundant connections to Tier 1 providers. Bandwidth is delivered via multiple redundant fiber entrances to the Xand Data Center, ruling out any single point of failure.

Network Operations
The Xand on-site Network Operations Center is staffed 24x7 by highly trained technicians and IT professionals. Our NOC staff monitors the integrity and performance of your Internet connectivity enabling Xand to quickly and proactively resolve concerns before they become customer service issues.

Security
Around the clock security includes:

• Closed circuit video monitoring (inside & outside the facility)
• Alarmed doors with secure card-key access
• Secure locking equipment enclosures (cabinets or cages)
• Building and environmental alarms are monitored 24x7 by staff in the on-site
• Xand Network Operations Center.

Power
Xand's Hawthorne, NY facility is designed and equipped to provide power via dual independent electrical entrance systems. The data center is equipped with a bank of UPSs providing n+1 redundancy. Our three-phase UPS system can power the entire datacenter at full load.

Within one minute of a commercial power failure, Xand's diesel generators smoothly pick up the load from the UPSs and keep our network and your servers functioning without interruption for the duration of the commercial power failure. During an extended commercial power outage the diesel generators provide power using the seven thousand gallons of diesel fuel securely stored on site. Fuel suppliers are on standby to provide additional service.

To ensure the sensitive infrastructure within our facilities maintains a stable temperature, Xand’s HVAC system from Liebert are conditioned for optimal performance. Xand has multiple chillers and data center AC units to provide air conditioning to meet N+1 redundancy requirements.

Fire Supression
Our state-of-the-art fire suppression systems rely on a FM-200 inert gas structure designed to protect servers and other delicate equipment.
