Xand’s Green Data Center Initiative

In the past, Managed Services providers have focused only on their customer’s availability.  While this will always be Xand’s primary objective, we also have the ability to meet our customer’s rising interest in the ‘greening’ of data centers, instituting operational changes and infrastructure upgrades to decrease the carbon footprint of facilities.

Xand is continuously looking at better ways to operate environmentally friendly facilities that benefit both the customer and the community at large.

We have implemented, and continue to pursue, many technological advances that provide maximum uptime with minimal environmental impact.

Xand has made a significant commitment (money and time) in designing our data centers to be as eco-friendly as possible. Through the incorporation of newer, more advanced data center technologies, we are attempting to become an industry leader in eco-friendly cooling and power optimization. In our first phase, Xand has currently deployed:

• Power System Components that are higher in efficiency and operate with reduced emissions
• Environment friendly building materials and design that reduce the demands on cooling to the facility
• Ultrasonic Humidification Systems that requiring less energy and create no additional heat, unlike older steam type humidifiers
